I prefer to ink with a quill in the bouncy style of Top Cow's school
of art. Inking over some of the best pros in the industry I
learned a lot about how to treat pencils too, such as line
treatment, textures, lighting, some story telling, etc... I was an assistant to the awesome Jay Leisten
in 2004-2006. In working
with him, Rob Hunter (briefly), and a few independent presses I gained a lot of skill in Inking, but
there is always room for improvement. As an assistant, I
filled in blacks, inked props (guns, furniture, etc...), and inked
backgrounds (buildings, bridges, etc...) to varying degrees for the following
